![]() If, as a player, you load the player version of the DM's Guide. you'll get a bunch of magic items in the item list, a couple of maps, maybe some NPCs, and the anti-paladin subclass. ![]() If, as a DM, you load the full DM's Guide. In general when there's a main book + a player version, the player version duplicates some character class options that are in the main thing. But it's not really necessary or recommended to load both copies as the DM. It's safe to, and you can do so in order to check the library and learn what's inside. ![]() ![]() FG_College gave a pretty good general answer already, but in cases where there is a "Player" version of a thing, the GM doesn't need to load it.
